These disc pads maximize cut with their firm cushioned foam. A great choice for medium-to-heavy duty stock removal.The 3M™ Stikit™ Low Profile Disc Pad 85104 holds a 5' 3M™ Stikit™ Disc (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. It is constructed of 3/8' firm density foam with a 15 degree blunt tapered edge for added durability, and is recommended for aggressive flat sanding operations. Use this disc pad with coarse grades where good leveling is needed. The silver vinyl face securely holds a 3M Stikit disc and allows easy removal with no leftover residue, for convenient disc changes between applications. The silver face provides a slightly lower level of adhesion than the same pad with a blue face to maintain easy disc removal between high heat applications common in woodworking. The disc pad has 5/16-24 external threads compatible with an orbital or random orbital sander with 5/16-24 internal threads. Max OPM is 12,000 and max RPM is 10,000.The 3M Stikit system was designed for convenient disc changes between grades or applications. Stikit discs come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to the disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker, yet they remove cleanly from a Stikit disc pad.
